Tom Selleck

Tom SelleckAmerican actor Thomas William Selleck. His most memorable role was Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in Magnum. (1980-1988), for whom he was nominated five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in an Drama Series. The award was presented to him in 1985. In the TV series Blue Bloods, Selleck has starred as Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. In nine television films based upon the Robert B. Parker novels He played Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town police chiefwho began his career in 2005. Selleck also starred in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). In addition to his roles in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has been seen in more than 50 movies and television shows, including the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter. He appeared in recurring television characters as Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and also as Lance White, the likeable and innocent partner in The Rockford Files, and as the owner of a casino A.J. Cooper at Las Vegas. He also had a lead part in the TV western film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran as well as a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
